Xplore have had a busy August providing Ipswich Town Football Club with not one, but TWO programmes designed to develop team building and bring players together.
The club’s under 18’s team were put to the test first with a 2-day ‘military’ themed pre-season programme. Upon arrival, our very own ‘Sergeant Major’ Dave met them on the driveway and set the players to task – building stretchers to carry their tents down to the camp site – no easy feat!
The next 48-hours consisted of raft building (with no instructions), climbing and of course team training sessions on the grounds of Finborough Hall.
We next played host to ITFC Under 9’s, 10’s, 11’s and 12’s for an action-packed activity day planned full of sessions to test the players’ communication skills and build their self-confidence as well as confidence in working with each other!
From crate climbing to archery, quad biking, abseiling and air rifles followed by a BBQ party for players and parents, the whole day was met with much laughter, hard work and enthusiasm. Duncan Wheeler, Head of Foundation (9-12) said,“On behalf of all from Ipswich Town Football Club who attended the Activities Day on Saturday, I would like to thank Xplore and their staff for a fantastic day!”
“I have already received numerous emails of exceptionally positive feedback from parents of players who attended. From a coaching perspective, I am particularly delighted the day offered players the opportunity to develop psychologically and socially, while being kids and having fun!”
“The day was very well organised from your part, flowing very smoothly throughout and I am grateful for the warm support offered to staff and players.”
Thumbs up from us! – Xplore
